"CSRList": the Cohesive Sediment Research listserv mailing list

The idea of creating this list was launched at INTERCOH'94. No initiative had been taken then. The approval by the European Community to fund the COSINUS Research Project (1997-2000), in which 11 European institutes collaborated, finally triggered the decision to start this list with the aim to share news of developments in Cohesive Sediment Research (CSR) and to allow interaction with the CSR community worldwide. Within these years, the list membership has steadily grown to just over 100 subscribers. At INTERCOH 2005 ( Saga , Japan ), the Steering Committee approved the integration of this mailing list into the INTERCOH website (www.intercoh.com).

The aim of this CSR List is to distribute any news on scientific developments in the field of cohesive sediment research. This includes topics such as: physico-chemical properties & characterisation of cohesive sediment, transport processes & advances in process modelling, integrated numerical modelling, biological effects and interactions, new measurement technologies (lab and field), ...
It also allows you to post related announcements or requests.

Once you have subscribed, you can send your contributions to CSRList@listserv.cc.kuleuven.ac.be (or CSRList@ls.kuleuven.be)
This list is a "moderated" list, i.e. your contributions will first go to the editor before being distributed to the list members. If your message complies with the following rules, your contribution will be forwarded without problem. When there is a problem, the editor will contact you to discuss it.

Rules:

• NO advertising of commercial products is allowed
• Allowed items:
• News on advances in cohesive sediment research
• Abstracts (or announcement) of papers, reports and other scientific publications
• Announcements of conferences, symposia, seminars, workshops, projects, etc.
• Book and paper reviews
• Questions (for help/advice, ...) & requests (for data, literature, ...)
• Announcements of vacancies for a research position
• Attachments are allowed, but should be comprimated as much as possible (preferably, use pdf format)
• Contributions should be no longer than 200 lines (excluding attachments).
